Auto repair in the United States is split between independent shops, dealership service departments and national chains. Independents handle most routine work (oil changes, brakes, tune-ups, check-engine diagnostics) at lower labor rates and often specialize in one make or in imports; dealers keep factory tools, software and warranty authority; chains sell speed and standard pricing on maintenance items. Most shops charge a diagnostic fee, credited toward the repair if you go ahead, and quote parts and labor separately. Certification matters: look for ASE-certified technicians and, in many states, a state repair license posted at the counter. Written estimates are required by law in most states before work begins, and you are entitled to your old parts if you ask.

Austin is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Austin follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Terry Sayther is fantastic. I have had them do several repairs for us on older BMWs. They have always fixed the car fast and for a very reasonable price. And they have always fixed the problem. Maybe one the first mechanics I ever been truly happy with.

Efficient and easyβ¦Nicole was great! She was communicative and nice. Everyone who worked there, the younger mechanics were so nice and professional. I was really impressed. Figured out what was wrong right away. I took my car to another place before and they couldnβt figure it out so, I was really happy with the service here. Highly recommend!!

This place and the people are everything you dream of and hope for when youβre looking for a repair shop. Iβm a customer for life. Straight talk and fair pricing, super knowledgeable and they have all the latest tech to diagnose and work on your car. You will not be disappointed. Nichole, service advisor, is the bomb. She may know more about your car than the tech working on it. I canβt remember my technician first name, last name Henson. When I picked up the car he was more than happy to meet me and answer all my questions. He clearly enjoys his job and talked to me like I was his dad. As I mentioned Iβm a customer for life.

We take both of our vehicles to Terry Sayther Automotive and theyβve done a great job. After arranging for the work to be done, dropping off the car is simple. They explain what will be done so you can anticipate timeline. When they have looked at the vehicle, they send a thorough explanation of any issues and a cost estimate for the parts/labor. Their prices are fair and, in my experience, less than dealerships. Iβm fairly picky about making sure that our vehicles are maintained well and safe and Iβve been happy with the work theyβve done. Thank you!

Terry Sayther is βtheβ place to go to get our BMWs fixed. They always diagnose our vehicles with a multi point check so we are aware of the things that need or will need fixing. My wife got a chance to meet Nicole and impressed with her knowledge and professional demeanor. The quality of work and turnover time is outstanding. We always bring out vehicles to them. They are the best!
